Hezbollah Chief Reveals Target of Large-Scale Attack on Israel, Israeli Army Denies Hit on Base
Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah disclosed that the group’s recent attack on Israel aimed at a military intelligence base near Tel Aviv. However, Israel claimed to have destroyed numerous Hezbollah rocket launchers and thwarted a significant assault. Nasrallah clarified that only dozens of rocket launchers were destroyed, refuting Israel’s claims of thousands.
The primary target of the operation inside Israel was the Glilot base, the main Israeli military intelligence base located approximately 100 kilometers from the Israel-Lebanon border. The Israeli army confirmed that Hezbollah failed to strike the installation, emphasizing that there were no hits at the Glilot base.
In a two-phased attack, Hezbollah launched hundreds of rockets at Israeli military positions and targeted an Israeli base in Ein Shemer with drones. The attacks were described as an initial response to the killing of a top Hezbollah commander. Nasrallah hinted that the retaliation might be concluded, stating that the sought objectives of the response operation had potentially been achieved.
