Iran and Venezuela Reaffirm Commitment to Bilateral Cooperation
In a recent telephone conversation, Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yvan Gil Pinto congratulated Iranian Foreign Minister Araqchi on his new position and expressed confidence in the two countries’ ability to uphold their agreements and cooperation during the new Iranian administration.
Gil Pinto emphasized Venezuela’s determination to continue cooperating with Iran and advancing the issues on the agenda of their relations. Araqchi, in turn, highlighted Venezuela’s importance in Iran’s foreign policy and reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to its strategic approach towards Latin America, particularly Venezuela.
The two diplomats also discussed Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian’s message congratulating Nicolas Maduro’s re-election as the president of Venezuela, condemning any interference in the country’s internal affairs. They further expressed readiness to exchange high-level delegations and engage in discussions to further enhance their bilateral ties and explore new areas of cooperation.
