Charles Obina, a 29-year-old musician from northern Uganda, is known as the “Adungu ambassador” for his exceptional skills in playing the traditional nine-10 stringed Adungu. Growing up in a family of musicians, Obina inherited his talents from his father and has dedicated himself to promoting and playing this unique musical instrument.

His journey from a young Adungu player to the founder of Adungu Revolution, a fusion music band in Uganda, showcases his dedication to preserving his cultural heritage. Despite facing challenges in Uganda’s music industry, Obina’s passion for traditional music and advocacy for social change through his songs have earned him recognition at international music festivals.
