The PDP recently unveiled its manifesto for the upcoming Assembly elections, vowing to work towards reinstating Jammu and Kashmir’s statehood. Led by party president Mehbooba Mufti, the manifesto titled ‘People’s Aspirations’ also touches on key issues like fostering diplomatic ties between India and Pakistan, promoting cross-border trade and connectivity, and advocating for the revocation of controversial laws like the AFSPA, PSA, UAPA, and Enemy Act.
The party further pledges to address job terminations deemed unjust due to alleged terror links and strive for a regional free-trade area. The manifesto release event held at the party headquarters saw the participation of senior PDP leaders, signaling the party’s commitment to addressing the aspirations and concerns of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
