First Pegasus Plane landed at Tuzla Int’l Airport

A new era of connectivity has begun with the first plane of Turkish airline Pegasus touching down at Tuzla International Airport. The flight from Istanbul marked the official establishment of cooperation, with plans for the route to operate once a week.

Expressing the significance of this milestone, Prime Minister of Tuzla Canton, Irfan Halilagić, highlighted the long-awaited fulfillment of a dream. The cooperation, initiated in June during a visit to Turkey by representatives of the Tuzla Canton government, aims to boost connectivity to Western Europe.

The inaugural flight witnessed the presence of Turkish delegations, including officials from the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure. Deputy Minister Enver Iskurt expressed optimism that the connections would pave the way for economic and trade growth in the region.

Adding to the excitement, Tuzla International Airport will also collaborate with aJet, another Turkish low-cost carrier, for routes to Istanbul and Antalya. The bond of cooperation is set to redefine air travel in the region.
