President Joe Biden recently had a discussion with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, where he unveiled a fresh round of military assistance for Kyiv totaling $125 million according to the Pentagon. This announcement was made on the eve of Ukraine’s independence day and in conjunction with the imposition of broad sanctions by the U.S. against numerous entities linked to Russia’s incursion into the region.
Biden expressed his satisfaction by stating, “I am proud we will announce a new package of military aid for Ukraine today.” The aid package signifies America’s commitment to supporting Ukraine in the face of ongoing aggression.
