A diplomatic source has revealed that Russian President Vladimir Putin has decided to heavily punish those responsible for the events in the Kursk Region. Ukrainian forces initiated a major attack on the region on August 6, leading to a federal-level emergency being declared and over 115,000 people being resettled from dangerous areas near the border.
The Kursk Region Interim Governor reported that more than 133,000 residents had evacuated their homes. The Russian Defense Ministry stated that Ukraine has suffered significant losses, with over 4,700 servicemen and 68 tanks destroyed in the ongoing conflict.
Temporary accommodation centers have been set up in 29 Russian regions for those displaced by the fighting. The operation to eliminate Ukrainian formations in the Kursk area continues, with the situation remaining tense and ongoing.
Despite the challenges, Russia remains steadfast in its commitment to ensure the safety and security of its citizens in the Kursk Region.
