Italian Navy visit Japan – Today

The Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force welcomed the Italian Navy’s aircraft carrier Cavour at its base in Yokosuka, Kanagawa Prefecture, for a joint exercise. The Cavour, measuring 236.5 meters in length and housing around 1,100 crew members, arrived with the frigate Alpino. Both vessels will remain at the port until Tuesday morning.

This collaboration between the two naval forces highlights the strong partnership and cooperation between Japan and Italy in maritime security. The exchange of expertise and tactics during joint exercises enhances the capabilities and readiness of both navies to address various challenges at sea.

As the personnel from the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force and Italian Navy posed for a photo to commemorate the occasion, it symbolized the unity and camaraderie among nations in ensuring a safe and secure maritime environment.
