Israeli military attacks Civil Defense vehicles in south Lebanon

The Israeli army targeted Lebanese Civil Defense vehicles trying to extinguish fires caused by earlier strikes in southern Lebanon, as reported by local media on Thursday. It was highlighted that two Civil Defense ambulances were damaged by Israeli shells in Wadi Hamoul, but fortunately, there were no casualties.

The report further explained that the Civil Defense teams were actively working to put out fires resulting from the Israeli shelling. Additionally, there was another incident where Israeli forces launched two guided missiles at the town of Chihine in the western border sector.

With tensions rising between Israel and Hezbollah, sparked by the assassination of senior Hezbollah commander Fouad Shukr in Beirut on July 30, concerns about a potential full-blown conflict have heightened. This escalation occurs in the midst of a deadly Israeli campaign in Gaza, which has claimed the lives of over 40,200 people since last October after an initial attack by Hamas, the Palestinian resistance group.
