Exciting News: Islamabad International Airport Outsourcing Deadline Extended!
The steering committee overseeing the outsourcing of Islamabad International Airport has announced an extension of the submission deadline to October 7, 2024. Chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, the committee met on Thursday to discuss the progress of the project and received a briefing from the International Finance Corporation.
Discussions focused on the responsibilities in the bidding process, as the federal government seeks applications for outsourcing the airport for 15 years. Interested bidders are required to submit their applications to the Civil Aviation Authority along with a fee of Rs5,000 by November 8.
Notably, Karachi and Lahore International Airports are also set for outsourcing. However, this decision has met opposition from the Employee Unions of the Civil Aviation Authority of Pakistan. Stay tuned for further updates on this exciting development!
