Altyn Kyran-2024, also known as Golden Eagle-2024, is a joint tactical-special exercise taking place at the Koktal training site in Zharkent, Kazakhstan. The Azerbaijani and Kazakh defense ministries have collaborated on this exercise, focusing on combat unit commanders carrying out reconnaissance missions in a hilly area.
During the exercise, units successfully raided hiding places used by illegal armed groups, ambushed vehicle convoys, and eliminated enemy forces. The main goals of Altyn Kyran – 2024 include enhancing interoperability between Azerbaijani and Kazakh servicemen, refining practical reconnaissance skills, improving camouflage techniques in mountainous and desert environments, and fostering an exchange of knowledge and expertise.
