In a recent political development, the proposal for a live broadcast of a meeting between Han Dong-hoon, the leader of the People Power Party, and Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party, has sparked controversy. Kim Min-seok, a senior member of the Democratic Party, criticized the idea, stating that there was no need to waste airtime on a “Yoon Suk-yeol show avatar” that could spread misinformation. Instead, he urged Han Dong-hoon to submit the promised “Chae Sang-byeong special prosecutor law.”

Kim Min-seok emphasized the importance of focusing on resolving issues rather than engaging in a televised spectacle. He also questioned the meaningfulness of a dialogue with Han Dong-hoon if there was no genuine intention to address the special prosecutor issue. Other party members, including Kim Byeong-joo, echoed Kim Min-seok’s sentiments, arguing that live broadcasts could turn the meeting into a mere showcase for supporters.

While the proposal for a live broadcast was not officially discussed by the People Power Party leadership, Kim Jae-won, another senior member, suggested that it was merely a suggestion and not a finalized decision. The debate over the live broadcast continues to highlight the differing opinions within the political sphere.
