Women Leaders Recognized for Driving Industry Growth

Head of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry, Fathi Jaghbir, highlighted the success of the “Richmond Home” factory as a testament to female-led industrial management. Jaghbir encouraged youth to join the private sector to gain valuable skills, emphasizing the sector’s need for local workers.

During a visit to the factory with officials from the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply, Jaghbir reiterated the chambers’ support for Jordanian businesswomen in the industrial sector. They aim to facilitate factory establishment and offer technical support and training programs for workers.

The Secretary General of the Ministry, Dana Zoubi, affirmed the government’s commitment to enhancing industrial competitiveness. Suha Bakir, CEO of Richmond Home, revealed that the factory employs around one thousand workers and specializes in mattresses and pillows production.

The wood and furniture industries sector, employing over 10,000 workers, has achieved high quality, enabling its products to reach 70 countries. This sector plays a vital role in the national economy and job creation.
