The Russian Defense Ministry has unveiled a video showcasing a Lancet drone taking out a Ukrainian truck-mounted mortar in Russia’s Kursk Region. This comes in response to Kiev’s attempt to divert Russian reserves by sending troops and vehicles across the border, leading Moscow to intensify its offensive in Donbass.
The footage captures the Lancet striking the mobile artillery platform and an armored car in a civilian village, with Ukrainian soldiers seen fleeing into nearby houses. Moscow has released numerous videos displaying the destruction of Ukrainian military assets, including US-manufactured Stryker vehicles and HIMARS rocket artillery.
The Lancet, a loitering munition developed by a subsidiary of Kalashnikov Concern, has been effectively deployed in the Russia-Ukraine conflict to neutralize modern Western-made vehicles supplied to Kiev. Its successful use on the battlefield marks a significant escalation in Russia’s military capabilities.
