The policy of collective punishment against the families of ‘wanted persons’ has long been adopted by Israel but intensified in conjunction with the ongoing aggression on the Gaza Strip.

Dunia Dawoud, 52, is still in mourning over her son Tariq, 17, who was killed by the Israeli occupation army near Qalqilya, north of the West Bank.

Tariq, a former prisoner recently released, was labeled a ‘wanted person’ and tragically lost his life in a confrontation with Israeli forces. His family endured multiple forms of repression and harassment in the process.

The barbaric practices of collective punishment, including house demolitions and arrests of family members, have become a common tactic for Israel in the occupation of Palestine, aiming to intimidate and control the population.

Despite these cruel measures, Palestinians remain resilient, continuing their struggle for liberation in the face of oppressive policies.
