In Gogrial West County, Warrap State, multiple families have been forced to flee to higher ground as floods sweep through the area. Schools and health facilities have been shut down due to the rising waters, leaving local residents without vital services.
Gogrial West County Commissioner Wek Koor Aru revealed that 8 schools and 11 health facilities have been closed, along with numerous hand pumps. The flooding, which began in July, has destroyed crops and raised concerns about an impending famine.
