The negotiations for a political alliance between the PTI and the JUI-F have hit a roadblock, with JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman announcing that he will not be a part of any alliance based on past experiences. Despite this, cooperation with opposition parties will continue on mutual concerns.
Maulana Fazl emphasized that he will lead the opposition against the government alone while maintaining issue-based talks with PTI and other parties. He clarified his stance on Imran Khan, mentioning his views on the Prime Minister being a ‘foreign agent’ and emphasizing the importance of fair elections and national security.
Addressing the importance of unity among political parties, Maulana Fazl mentioned his meeting with PTM leader Manzoor Pashteen and emphasized the need for moderation and balance in political forces. He highlighted the promotion of narratives within constitutional bounds.
The Maulana asserted that personal enmity does not exist with any party, focusing instead on policy disagreements. The potential alliance of religious parties was also denied, as Maulana Fazl stressed the importance of convincing through policies and practical steps rather than promises.
