Drone Attack Targets Murmansk Region in Northern Russia

Russia’s Murmansk region issued a drone attack warning, leading to flight restrictions at local airports after reports of a downed unmanned aircraft. Governor Andrei Chibis confirmed the threat and pledged security measures.

Civil aviation authorities implemented restrictions in Murmansk and Apatity, prioritizing flight safety. Earlier, a video shared by Violetta Grudina showed Russian air defense systems targeting a drone near the military settlement of Vysoky in response to ongoing attacks in the region.

The attacks have disrupted operations at the ANOF-3 plant and Vostochny mine, with evacuations taking place. This incident marks the farthest a Ukrainian drone has reached into Russian territory since the conflict with Ukraine began over two years ago.
