Exciting news from Baku, Azerbaijan! Minister Laziz Kudratov revealed plans for a joint roadmap for business development between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan during the Uzbek-Azerbaijani business forum in Tashkent.
With a tripled trade turnover over the past five years and a 20% increase in mutual trade volume since the beginning of this year, both countries are aiming to reach a trade volume of one billion dollars in the near future. An investment company has been established with Azerbaijani government support, creating a portfolio of investment projects set to yield results soon.
Highlighting collaboration in energy, urban development, textiles, and agriculture, the goal is to foster business partnerships and tangible trade agreements through increased dialogue and opportunities for entrepreneurs from both countries.
The ongoing Uzbek-Azerbaijani business forum seeks to enhance economic ties, attract investments, and realize joint projects. Currently, there are 236 Azerbaijani-capital enterprises operating in Uzbekistan, along with 70 Uzbek companies active in Azerbaijan, with a total trade turnover surpassing $118.2 million from January to July 2024. Exciting times lie ahead for Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan!
