French Ship Rescues Sailors From Houthi Attack
On August 22, 2024, a French naval destroyer rescued 29 sailors who were targeted by Houthi rebels in the Red Sea. The sailors were aboard an oil tanker called Sounion, which was repeatedly fired upon. The French vessel, as part of a European mission in the area, also destroyed a sea drone and ensured the safety of the sailors. The attack was carried out by Yemen’s Houthi rebels, who have been launching similar strikes in solidarity with Hamas in Gaza. Four Arrested Over Settler Attack on West Bank Village
