Russia launches over 9,000 missiles and 14,000 drones in invasion.

In a recent report by Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi, startling numbers reveal the extent of Russia’s aggressive actions in Ukraine. Since the invasion began, over 9,600 missiles and almost 14,000 attack drones have been deployed, with 5,197 aimed at civilian targets. Ukrainian air defense has successfully intercepted 2,400 missiles and 9,200 drones, showcasing their resilience in the face of adversity.

Syrskyi highlighted the array of missile types used by Russian forces, including Kalibr, Dagger, and S-300/S-400 missiles. Ukraine was predominantly targeted with S-300/S-400 missiles, followed by Kh-555/Kh-101 cruise missiles. The report also mentions North Korea’s role as a significant weapons supplier to Russia, including the shipment of over 3 million artillery shells.

Furthermore, the U.S. and NATO allies are stepping up their support for Ukraine by pledging to send air defense systems, including Patriot batteries. The upcoming Ramstein-format meeting on Sept. 6 signifies ongoing international efforts to address the crisis in Ukraine. With the need for solidarity and support, the world watches closely as Ukraine bravely defends its sovereignty.
