Ukraine made headlines with one of the biggest drone attacks on Moscow, as confirmed by the city’s mayor. Russian air defense units were successful in intercepting and destroying 11 drones heading towards the capital. Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported that some of the drones were taken down over Podolsk, situated about 38 kilometers south of the Kremlin.
In a message posted on the Telegram app at 4:43 a.m., Sobyanin reiterated the ongoing efforts of the Defense Ministry’s air defense systems to thwart enemy UAV attacks. This attack marked one of the most significant attempts to strike Moscow using drones. Residents were urged to remain vigilant as authorities worked to monitor the situation closely.
