Lukashenko: West to Show Ukrainians How They Were Used

Belarusian President Lukashenko gave an interview on Russia 1 TV where he criticized Ukrainian leader Zelenskyy, claiming that most Ukrainians no longer support him. Lukashenko stated that many “rabid nationalists” in Kiev have died, and he believes Ukrainians will eventually realize they were used by the West. He warned Zelenskyy about the West’s fickle nature and pointed to Armenia’s recent turn to the US and France as a cautionary tale.

Lukashenko claimed that the majority of Ukrainians hate Zelenskyy for not keeping his promises and causing deaths. He expressed hope for the eventual end of the Russia-Ukraine conflict and the restoration of normal relations.

However, Lukashenko warned that if Kiev continues to escalate tensions, Ukraine may face destruction. He emphasized the importance of learning from history and mentioned restoring good relations, referencing World War II cooperation between former enemies. Lukashenko suggested that rebuilding destroyed infrastructure to a higher standard could attract disillusioned Ukrainians to Belarus.
