By MOSES K. GAHIGI

Rwandan President Paul Kagame is emphasizing teamwork among his new cabinet, viewing his re-election as both a validation and a call to enhance his achievements. Instructing his ministers to collaborate effectively, Kagame stressed the importance of unity and collective effort for national development. The cabinet, comprising 21 ministers and 9 state ministers, will work alongside Kagame for the next five years to uplift Rwanda amidst economic challenges and the lingering impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Kagame urged his ministers to prioritize Rwanda’s interests and discouraged unnecessary meetings and extravagant practices, emphasizing efficient decision-making and accountability. He acknowledged the past successes of ministries in steering Rwanda towards growth and urged the new team to build upon these achievements, particularly in improving economic relations with neighboring countries. Kagame’s vision of a cohesive and diligent government underscores his commitment to continuous progress and national prosperity.
