Security forces in Enugu State have taken action against suspected kidnappers and members of the Eastern Security Network, linked to the Indigenous People of Biafra. Governor Peter Mbah’s administration is cracking down on separatist groups and criminals, resulting in the neutralization of 27 individuals over the past two weeks.
The operations have targeted individuals loyal to Simon Ekpa, alias Auto Pilot IPOB, based in Finland. Residents are calling for the demolition of properties used by criminals to deter further criminal activities.
A recent rescue operation led by Superintendent Onochie Ezeh successfully tackled a seven-man kidnapper gang and rescued victims at Ogbeke Nike. The state’s security task force, established by Governor Mbah, is making significant progress in eliminating threats and criminal elements.
