BiH Delegation Meets Former Military Envoy of Germany in BiH

The Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zukan Helez, and the former military envoy of the Federal Republic of Germany in BiH, Colonel Franz Josef Nolte, signed an agreement for new financial assistance for infrastructure projects in the Armed Forces of BiH. A total of 1,569,000 euros will be used for renovation, adaptation, and modernization projects in several barracks across the country.

The signing ceremony was attended by various officials, including Deputy Ministers of Defense of BiH, and representatives from the UNDP and EUFOR. Minister Helez expressed gratitude for the assistance, highlighting the importance of the partnership between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Germany for peace, stability, and achieving foreign policy goals.

Deputy Minister Goganović emphasized the importance of BiH’s European path and thanked Colonel Nolte for his support. Deputy Minister Galić praised Colonel Nolte for his efforts in advocating for infrastructure projects in all locations of the Armed Forces of BiH, regardless of entity.

The meeting also marked the inaugural visit of the newly appointed military envoy of FR Germany, Colonel Abendroth, who was welcomed with confidence for continued cooperation. Both Nolte and Abendroth affirmed Germany’s support for BiH’s Euro-Atlantic integration.
