“Be a father figure to all, don’t get emotional,” Damagum tells Clark.

The Acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Amb Umar Damagum, has advised Chief Edwin Clark to adopt a more inclusive approach and avoid being sentimental in addressing issues. Damagum emphasized that Clark should not take a sentimental approach to the situation but rather focus on what is needed.

Clark had demanded the exit of FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, to ensure the party’s endurance. The conflict between Wike and Governor Fubara has led to a division within the State House of Assembly, causing governance in Rivers State to be nearly paralyzed.

In response, Damagum urged Clark to reflect on his age and refrain from engaging in public disputes, emphasizing the importance of being a father figure to all. He stressed the need for a more respectful and inclusive approach to resolving internal party conflicts.
