Kidnapping of Village Chief’s Wife and Sons by Bandits in Kaduna State

Recently, in the village of Galadimawa in Kaduna State, some bandits orchestrated a terrifying attack, resulting in the abduction of the wife and two sons of the Village Chief, Aliyu Galadimawa. The bandits arrived in large numbers, creating chaos by firing shots before breaking into the village head’s residence at around 11.30 pm on Monday night.

The abducted victims, Fatima Aliyu, Abdullahi, and Kamal, were taken from their home, leaving the community in shock and fear. The Sarkin Fadar Galadimawa, Hussaini Umar, expressed his concern about the inadequate security in the area, calling on the state government to provide more support.

The current Mobile Police unit was criticized as insufficient, as the frequency of abductions and violence has severely impacted the community. Due to insecurity, around 20 neighboring villages have even relocated to Galadimawa.

In a similar incident back in June 2024, six persons were killed and many others kidnapped in nearby communities, highlighting the ongoing threat posed by bandits in the region.
