South Korea prepares for Tropical Storm Jongdari with heavy rain and strong winds

As Tropical Storm Jongdari heads towards South Korea, officials are taking necessary precautions by closing roads and parks to prepare for strong winds and rain. The storm, located 100 kilometers west of Jeju, is moving north with winds reaching 65 kph. It is expected to weaken before making landfall near Seosan in the western part of the country.

Although the storm is not projected to cause severe damage, authorities are advising the public to stay alert and secure any loose objects or vessels. South Korea’s weather agency predicts around 10 centimeters of rain in Jeju and southern mainland areas, with central regions receiving up to 8 centimeters. Despite some rainfall in cities like Busan and Ulsan, there have been no reports of injuries or significant property damage so far.
