Scottish Government Suspends Meetings with Israeli Ambassadors

Scottish External Affairs Secretary Angus Robertson announced the suspension of all meetings with Israeli ambassadors until there is significant progress in peace talks and humanitarian aid to Gaza.

The Scottish government takes a strong stand against normalization with Israel until key issues are addressed, such as access to humanitarian aid and compliance with international obligations.

Does Any Other Country besides Israel have the Right to Defend Itself?

The decision follows backlash over a meeting with the Israeli Deputy Ambassador, emphasizing the need for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

The Scottish government remains firm on advocating for peace and justice, including halting arms sales to Israel and recognition of a sovereign Palestinian state.

Ongoing Genocide

Israel’s continued offensive on Gaza has drawn international condemnation, with thousands of Palestinian casualties and a severe humanitarian crisis.

The conflict has led to widespread displacement and loss of life, particularly impacting women and children, prompting urgent calls for a ceasefire and accountability for war crimes.
