PM Shehbaz sets up endowment fund for underprivileged students’ higher education in Pakistan.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif recently announced the establishment of the Pakistan Education Endowment Fund to assist children from low-income families in pursuing higher education. This initiative follows his declaration of an education emergency in the country with the aim of enrolling around 26 million out-of-school children.

During a meeting with Oxford Union President Israr Khan Kakar, PM Shehbaz revealed that a 20% quota will be reserved for the youth of Balochistan under the new fund. He commended Kakar for becoming the third Pakistani and first from Balochistan to hold such a prestigious position at the renowned Oxford Union, known for its esteemed debating tradition.

Highlighting the importance of scholarships and opportunities for youth empowerment, Shehbaz expressed his hope for young individuals like Kakar to continue making Pakistan proud. In response, Kakar thanked the government for their efforts in empowering youth and providing equal opportunities, emphasizing his commitment to contributing to the country’s progress and prosperity.
