Iran Press/Iran news: Iran’s Judiciary spokesman, Asghar Jahangir, confirmed that the legal process of investigating the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran is now underway. The incident, which occurred during an inauguration ceremony for Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, involved a missile attack on Haniyeh’s residence.
Jahangir emphasized the significance of this case, labeling it as a clear example of state terrorism carried out by the Israeli regime. Iran’s judiciary has taken action by filing a case domestically, with plans to address the issue internationally through discussions at the United Nations Security Council.
In response to the Israeli crime, Iran is utilizing all legal and political resources to seek justice and condemnation on a global scale. Iran stands firm in its commitment to defend itself and is engaging with regional allies to determine the appropriate course of action against such acts of aggression.
Furthermore, it is noted that the actions of the Israeli regime violate international resolutions and norms, including General Assembly Resolution 3314 and Article 8 of the ICC. Iran remains resolute in pursuing justice and holding accountable those responsible for this act of violence.
