Empowering Youth Through E-Rozgar Centers: Minister of State Announces Nationwide Expansion
In a bid to support the youth of Pakistan, Minister of State for Information Technology and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, unveiled plans to establish e-Rozgar centers across the country through public-private partnerships. Speaking at the National Youth Convention, she emphasized the crucial role of the youth in the nation’s development and urged for collaborative efforts to propel Pakistan forward.
Khawaja highlighted the government’s commitment to empowering youth by equipping them with essential digital skills. With an allocation of over Rs. 4 billion for youth skills development this year, she encouraged the youth to take advantage of programs like DigiSkills.
Furthermore, she discussed the shift towards digital transformation in various sectors and the construction of IT Parks in Islamabad and Karachi, which will generate job opportunities. Khawaja also stressed the responsible use of media, citing its impact on the country’s image. As Pakistan gears up for a digital revolution, the minister urged the youth to actively participate in shaping the tech landscape.
