Tragedy struck in inner Sydney as the body of Xiaoting Wang, a 21-year-old international university student from China, was found at a unit in Burwood last week. Police also discovered the body of a man, also a Chinese university student, in the same building complex.
Homicide squad officers are investigating the deaths and urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers. Superintendent Christine McDonald emphasized the impact of this incident on the Burwood community and announced a vigil to honor Xiaoting at the Burwood Pavilion Centre next week. She encouraged those affected to attend and support one another during this difficult time.
