Imran Khan Claims Ex-ISI Chief Under Pressure Amid Corruption Case Verdict Delay

In a recent turn of events, PTI leader Imran Khan has alleged that ex-ISI chief Faiz Hameed is being coerced into turning approver against him in connection with the May 9 violence cases. Meanwhile, the Islamabad High Court has halted an accountability court from announcing the verdict in a £190 million corruption case involving Khan and his spouse related to the Al Qadir Trust.

Khan, speaking from Adiala jail after a judicial remand, dismissed the allegations against him, stating that the arrests were part of a ploy to implicate him erroneously. He expressed confidence in his innocence and emphasized the need for a fair investigation into the May 9 incidents.

The IHC’s decision to delay the corruption case verdict comes after Khan sought the case record, leading to a stay order while allowing day-to-day proceedings. As the legal battle continues, the political landscape remains volatile, with PTI members urging the establishment to respect the public mandate.

This development highlights the ongoing power struggles in Pakistan’s political arena and the implications for key figures like Imran Khan facing legal challenges.
