Georgia PM urges Ukraine to reconsider ‘unfriendly’ actions against country

Georgia’s Prime Minister, Irakli Kobakhidze, has expressed his concerns about Ukraine’s “unfriendly” attitude towards his country. He highlighted that Ukraine recalled its ambassador from Georgia due to Georgia’s refusal to introduce bilateral sanctions against Russia and not sending armed volunteers by plane.

Kobakhidze emphasized that if Ukraine wishes to reconsider their relations, they should take the first step. He also mentioned that Kyiv officials have openly called for Georgia to open a ‘second front.’

The Georgian PM also mentioned President Salome Zourabichvili’s admiration for Ukraine’s President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, while calling for the Georgian government to take action accordingly.

Kobakhidze expressed his disappointment at remaining in a one-sided friendship regime with Ukraine. The call to reassess the relationship between the two countries highlights the complexities and tensions involved.
