Suspect behind Hotel Presidential Explosion Identified and to be Prosecuted

The suspect behind the June 25 dynamite explosion at the Rivers State-owned Hotel Presidential in Port Harcourt has been identified as 40-year-old Preye Josiah, who is a member of the dreaded cult group, Vikings. Despite sustaining serious injuries, Preye Josiah, who has been wanted by the police for his involvement in high-profile bank robberies, has recovered considerably and is currently undergoing treatment.

The explosion occurred during a protest over the tenure of local government chairmen in the state, with the state government condemning the incident and urging hospitals to look out for patients with explosion injuries.

The police have identified Preye Josiah as the dynamite detonating expert of the gang responsible for the explosion and are continuing their efforts to apprehend others involved. Commissioner of Police in Rivers State, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has advised the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the police.
