Mboro allegedly carried second rifle during Katlehong school incident: state

A recent bail application hearing has taken an interesting turn as accusations have been thrown back and forth between the prosecution and the defence. The defence claims that the prosecution is simply trying to gather public support by bringing up irrelevant issues, while also arguing that the accused individuals have no plans to evade trial if released.

The defence attorney mentioned that one of the accused, Motsoeneng, had a legal right to care for the children of a woman who recently passed away. However, a custody dispute has arisen between the woman’s family and the Motsoeneng family, adding a political twist to the situation.

The prosecution, on the other hand, has presented additional video footage showing the accused allegedly dispersing a crowd with a rifle while near a primary school. There are also concerns about the accused still being in possession of another rifle without a permit.

The bail application hearing continues with further discussions on the accused’s addresses and past legal issues. The case seems to be far from a resolution as both sides present their arguments.
