Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim recently discussed the dire situation in the Gaza Strip, with over 40,000 Palestinians killed in Israeli strikes since October 2023. They condemned the US and some Western countries for their policies and support of Israel, despite advocating for human rights and a ceasefire. Pezeshkian and Ibrahim called for unity among Muslim nations to address the atrocities committed by the Zionist regime and put an end to the genocide in Gaza.
Both leaders agreed that an Organization of Islamic Cooperation summit would be a powerful step towards stopping the massacre of innocent people in Gaza. The ongoing conflict has already claimed the lives of at least 40,139 individuals and left 92,743 others injured.
