Hong Kong police scan CCTV for evidence in HK0,000 flat burglary hunt

In a recent incident in Hong Kong, over HK$120,000 in cash and valuables were stolen from a Cheung Sha Wan flat, prompting the police to investigate. The male tenant of the flat reported the burglary after returning home to find it ransacked, with a forced-open window indicating a break-in.

Detectives are looking into the case, which involved the theft of HK$122,000 in jewelry and HK$4,000 in cash from the flat. Meanwhile, another incident at a money exchange store resulted in the theft of HK$1,800, with no arrests made yet. Additionally, a break-in at the home of a company director saw several handbags stolen, adding to the rising burglary cases in the city.

Hong Kong has seen an increase in both burglary and violent crime cases, prompting authorities to step up security measures by installing more surveillance cameras in high-risk areas to deter criminal activities.
