Despite facing challenges such as impassable waterfalls and unpredictable weather, Santos and her team discovered a new sanctuary of giant trees during their expedition. They gathered samples, cataloged flora and fauna, and sought to expand research in the area to enhance its protection. Interestingly, this region is home to trees that are exceptionally tall, with some reaching heights of over 80 meters.
