President Herzog: Kahanism must be eliminated from government.

President Isaac Herzog faced off against anti-Netanyahu protesters outside his home in Tel Aviv, addressing their concerns about his representation of the government. The demonstrators accused him of not doing enough and questioned his ability to unite the country.

Herzog defended himself, emphasizing his commitment to unity and denouncing Kahanism, a far-right ideology. He made it clear that Kahanism had no place in the government and distanced himself from any association with it.

When pressured to disavow a specific political figure, Ben-Gvir, Herzog pointed to the Knesset’s role in decision-making, suggesting that such matters were beyond his control. He referred to the complexities within the Bennett-Lapid government to illustrate his stance on remaining impartial.
