However, the tender for the rebuilding sparked controversy, as the winning company, Bud-Technology, allegedly offered inflated prices.
Health Minister Viktor Liashko suspended CEO Volodymyr Zhovnir until further inspections are completed, and a new tender will be held. The goal is to ensure transparency and accountability in the reconstruction process, with a focus on establishing the truth and holding responsible parties accountable.
The newly-created Restoration Council, including major donors, will oversee the reconstruction efforts to ensure the hospital is restored efficiently and effectively. The government aims to rebuild Okhmatdyt following legal procedures and with integrity.
The initiative highlights the importance of upholding ethical standards in healthcare infrastructure projects, emphasizing the need for clear, transparent, and lawful actions to support the community’s well-being.
