MQM Leader Mustafa Kamal Expresses Discontent After Nawaz Sharif’s Media Talk
Mustafa Kamal, a prominent leader of MQM-Pakistan, expressed his disappointment after Nawaz Sharif’s recent media talk, stating that the former Prime Minister’s remarks have alienated them. Kamal emphasized that the MQM considers Nawaz Sharif as the leader of entire Pakistan, but they are now forced to question whether they will receive any relief being outside of Punjab.
During a media briefing, Kamal asserted that the MQM will not accept any package that does not benefit the entire country. He demanded uniform power tariffs across Pakistan, highlighting the need for relief measures to be inclusive and fair for all regions.
Additionally, Kamal called for the cancellation of capacity charges agreements with local independent power producers, citing the extreme circumstances where individuals are resorting to violence over electricity bill payments. He urged the government to reconsider its policies and engage with IPPs to address the ongoing crisis.
