Iran Holds US Accountable for Supporting Israeli Genocide in Gaza
Iran’s interim Foreign Minister, Ali Bagheri Kani, condemned the United States for aiding the Zionist regime in committing genocidal crimes against Palestinians in Gaza. Bagheri Kani emphasized that the US’s support for Israel proves it cannot be an impartial mediator in efforts to establish a ceasefire in Gaza. He also mentioned Iran’s right to respond to the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran.
Meanwhile, Egypt is actively involved in discussions to broker a ceasefire in Gaza, focusing on stopping Israeli atrocities and providing assistance to Palestinians. The next round of talks between Israel and Hamas is set to take place in Cairo, following promising discussions in Doha.
The ongoing conflict in Gaza, initiated by Israel’s attacks, has resulted in the deaths of over 40,000 Palestinians, mainly women and children, with thousands more injured or missing. The international community’s consensus is crucial to establishing a ceasefire and ending the bloodshed in Gaza.
