Lo also mentioned leveraging the “panda economy” by introducing themed MTR carriages and creating Instagrammable spots at Ocean Park and other locations.
Fellow lawmaker Jeffrey Lam Kin-fung echoed the sentiment, emphasizing the wide-ranging business opportunities associated with the panda economy. He suggested ideas like panda-themed planes and hotel packages to boost Hong Kong’s economy.
Legislator Tony Tse Wai-chuen emphasized the need for collaboration across sectors to capitalize on the pandas’ popularity, suggesting more panda-themed street art as a creative initiative.
