Australian Authorities Deny Entry to Children of Israeli War Victim
Ankara – Australian authorities have denied entry to the children of an Israeli war victim who was killed in the Gaza Strip, despite their uncle living in Australia. Zuhair El Henday, a resident of New South Wales, has been unable to secure visas for his remaining family in Gaza after his sister and her family were killed in an Israeli airstrike last year.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese criticized the opposition leader’s demand to ban Palestinians fleeing Gaza from entering Australia, calling it divisive. Nasser Mashni, president of Australia Palestine Advocacy Network, labeled these actions as “shameful.”
Israel’s continued offensive on Gaza has led to a humanitarian crisis, with thousands killed and injured. The International Court of Justice has accused Israel of genocide and ordered a halt to military operations.
Despite the ongoing conflict, El Henday continues to fight for his family’s safety and rights. The denial of entry highlights the complexities of international politics and the impact on innocent lives.
