How to Apply as an ECOWAS Residence:
ECOWAS means the Economic Community of West African States. ECOWAS member states include Nigeria, Ghana, and more. Citizens of ECOWAS countries can obtain an Ecowas Residence Card to stay in Nigeria for business or personal purposes.
Requirements:
- Application letter
- ECOWAS Travel Certificate or National Passport
- Photocopy of Bio-data page
- Two passport photographs
- Evidence of e-payment
- Completed application form
For employees:
- Letter of offer of employment
- Letter of acceptance of offer
- Applicant’s credentials
- Evidence of registration with professional bodies
How to Apply as an Expatriate or Foreigner:
Eligibility: Expatriate employees, technical mission officials, foreign students, missionaries, research fellows, NGO staff, and government officials among others.
Requirements: Letter of application, passport bio-data, visa pages, and more based on category.
How to Apply: Submit applications to Nigerian Immigration Service.
Fees: $2,000 per annum for expatriates, $400 for students and missionaries.
Timeline: Five working days processing time.
