Hong Kong police are on a citywide search for a driver and his Audi after a dramatic incident where a constable drew his gun and another officer hit the vehicle’s windscreen with a baton in a failed attempt to stop it from speeding away.
The pursuit started when the Audi was found speeding through a red light on Kwai Fuk Road in Kwai Chung and illegally crossing a double line on Tsuen Wan Road. The car even tried to overtake the police vehicle and sped away before being caught in traffic congestion at Tsuen Tsing Interchange.
Despite repeated police orders, the driver ignored them, prompting one officer to draw his gun while another used a baton on the car. The car managed to escape towards the New Territories, leading the police on a chase with unfortunate events resulting in an injured officer and a burst tire on the police car.
As of now, no arrest has been made, and detectives are actively investigating the case.
