Alice Kisiya explained that the settlers took advantage of the Gaza conflict to seize more land. The Kisiya family has faced ongoing violence and repeated rejections of permit applications, leading to demolitions of their property.
Al-Makhrour, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, faces threats from settlements disrupting biodiversity. Recent legal battles have affirmed the Kisiya family’s ownership of the land, but settlers, led by Lior Tal and Yaron Rosenthal, have seized it.
The Security Cabinet legalized five settlement outposts, including Neve Ori, in the West Bank. These outposts receive state support and serve as part of a larger plan to hinder Palestinian statehood.
Despite the challenges, Alice Kisiya remains resilient in the face of displacement, highlighting the broader implications of land disputes in the region.
